ÅRABROT – new album released

Norwegian noise-rock visionaries Årabrot have just released their brand-new album Rite Of Dionysus, now available on all major streaming platforms worldwide.

The record marks the second chapter of material the band tracked during the summer of 2022 at their iconic church studio, working with renowned producer Alain Johannes. While the first half of those sessions became the high-octane album Of Darkness and Light, the second half took on a different spirit entirely.

Singer and guitarist Kjetil Nernes recalls:

“Halfway through the sessions I joined Alain for his performances at the Taylor Hawkins memorial concert at Wembley. The week we spent among the biggest rock stars in the world created a very special atmosphere for the second half of the sessions. As if the rockstar vibes permeated into our very existence. At the same time, it was a time of loss and contemplation. Rite Of Dionysus is a different Årabrot album. A special album captured at a special time. It deals with stuff that’s real to us. Maybe there is something real in it for you too. It’s not for everyone and it’s not gonna hit you in the head. But ever so slowly it might creep under your skin.”
