LITTLE KING ANNOUNCE NEW ALBUM ‘LENTE VIVIENTE’

Little King is thrilled to share fresh details about our upcoming 8th studio album,Lente Viviente, set for release in September of 2025! The new record features seven tracks:

  1. Catch and Release
  2. Dawn Villa
  3. Who’s Illegal?
  4. Kindness for Weakness
  5. Sweet Jessie James
  6. Pass Through Filters
  7. The Living Lens

The Little King studio lineup has shifted for the first time since 2019. First off, we’re excited to welcome drummer Tony Bojorquez from San Carlos, MX, to the LK family. Tony brings serious chops, deep groove, and a wealth of experience to the band—in fact, he even busked professionally on the streets and in the subways of New York City for several years! On bass and cello is our longtime friend David Hamilton, who contributed cello on Amuse De Q (2021) and Occam’s Foil (2019), and has joined us live several times in recent years. Of course, Ryan Rosoff returns on guitar and vocals (since 1996!), and Laura Sadie Bette from the band Curfew adds backing vocals.

Lyrically, Lente Viviente (Spanish for “Living Lens,” a play on Rosoff’s Video Memoir production company, LivingLens Memoirs) explores the delicate dance between memory and presence, perception and truth. The songs span a wide emotional arc—from reflections on childhood and lasting friendship (“Catch and Release,” “Dawn Villa”) to meditations on immigration and identity (“Who’s Illegal?”), aging and addiction (“Pass Through Filters”), and the blurred line between strength and vulnerability (“Kindness for Weakness”). At its core, the album asks how we see ourselves—and each other—through the ever-shifting lens of time, emotion, and experience. Tied together by dynamic arrangements and textured performances, Lente Vivienteis both personal and universal—an honest portrait of life’s sharp edges and soft light.

Lente Viviente was recorded from April to June, 2025, at Cimamusic in Tucson, AZ, by Ricky Wascher Tavares, making it the first Little King record to be tracked outside of Texas. The album is being mixed at Command Space Audio in Los Angeles by Daniel Salcido, who also mixed Amuse De Q  in 2021 and the recent singles “Amber Waves GoodBye” and “Silver Tongue” (both from 2023). Artwork is being created by Savannah Maher.

More updates are coming soon including the release date of the first single, videos, interviews, and behind-the-scenes footage from the making of Lente Viviente. Stay tuned to all social media @littlekingtunes (FBIGYouTube) and www.littlekingtunes.com for more info, lyrics, and song clips.
