Fierce heavy rock crew, THE FIRES BELOW, will release a new enticing EP, Crouch End Sessions, which encompasses three brand new tracks recorded live at Crouch End Studios, as well as a full live performance, behind the scenes footage and band interview. The EP and film land on Wednesday 14th May, and the Londoners have now also revealed their blistering new single, The Crows Can Wait –
Born after the lockdowns in 2022, and fronted by Smithy (Vocals, Guitar), Si (Bass), Del (Drums), and Sam (Guitar), THE FIRES BELOW soon unleashed their singles, Normality and Out to Destroy, which placed the band on the map, capturing the attention of heavy rock fans internationally. The quartet then pushed on to deliver their stomping debut four track EP, Masquerade, which landed in 2023. The record rapidly upped the stakes for the emerging crew, and last year’s Thorns EP raised the bar even further with prevalent support from the likes of Metal Hammer and Metalized which further cemented their stellar reputation.
THE FIRES BELOW are always looking to take on fresh and new challenges. With that in mind, the Brit hard-hitters have crafted a new EP, Crouch End Sessions, with a live film to accompany the release. Vocalist and guitarist, Smithy comments: “It’s the first time we’ve recorded a studio session, performing simultaneously. The planning and rehearsals were key. We wanted to capture the intense raw energy of our live shows in a studio setting. It was also a great opportunity to get the cameras in, to show the world what we are about.”
The release certainly highlights the band’s formidable power, musicianship and vigour. With plans afoot for more new music, as well as live shows, THE FIRES BELOW will continue to knock down boundaries.
