ARV:New VIDEO For The Track “Victim” From Norwegian Arctic POST-METAL/HARDCORE Inferno OUT NOW! Debut Full-Length “Curse & Courage” Set For Release on May 2nd via VINTER RECORDS
Oslo-based ARV delivers a sound rooted in metal, blending elements of hardcore and post-metal into an experience that balances intensity and atmosphere. Their debut album, Curse & Courage, shapes its raw and textured expression through a mix of aggression, tempo shifts, and expansive, atmospheric riffs. Not only inspired by the heritage and connection several of the members have from northern parts of Norway, but also by current topics that just no one wants to see.
Recorded at Amper Tone and Nords Studio and mixed and mastered by Ruben Willem, Curse & Courage is the result of a long creative process that reflects the band’s commitment to their craft.
Previously, ARV has performed at festivals like Høstsabbat and Klubb-Øya, showcasing a dynamic and immersive live presence, one that the album itself represents with its intense and atmospheric soundscapes.
Featuring Frederik Hillestad (Kollwitz) on vocals and musicians from Jack Dalton and Day of the Jackalope, ARV brings together years of experience to craft their distinctive sound.
Curse & Courage is an exploration of heavy, unrestrained music for listeners drawn to the darker and more immersive corners of metal.

“Norwegian post-metal crew Arv have put together three songs that blast forward without hesitation, packing sharp and deeply nuanced post-metal into tight song structures that don’t even consider pausing. The band often dips into hardcore for cues on songwriting and delivery, but they balance that upfront brutish delivery with a surprisingly poignant sense of melody and drama.” Invisible Oranges (US)
“‘Fury’ hits like a cyclone that dropped from the sky without warning… a cyclone of fire… which rampages in the midst of a violent earthquake. It moves at riot speed, propelled by furious drumming and magma-like bass upheavals. The riffing swarms and sears, boiling in sounds of despair as well as rage, while the vocals expel stunning screams that sound like a man being torn inside out, holding nothing back.“ No Clean Singing (US)
