OLE DEVIL & THE SPIRIT CHASERS – double single out

OLE DEVIL & THE SPIRIT CHASERS – double single out

Ole Devil & The Spirit Chasers are back with a new double single – with a cover of the classic “I Wanna Be Your Dog”, and a live rendition of “My Love”. Here’s what the band has to say about it:

In October 2021 we had a rehearsal in a recording studio and made the first ever run through of the legendary Iggy and the Stooges song “I Wanna Be Your Dog” with the band on to disk. It was a live rehearsal recording and Anci who had never heard the song before, and was unaware that it was being recorded, got a real kick out of hearing the spontaneous badassery and later pushed me to get it released. It was the last song of our live set and it sort of just came out like a jam of joy, and I didn’t want to ruin the moment with tuning the guitar.

Time went by and I visited the recording again and decided to rerecord the
guitar, and because I really should, and because I could, I also added a twin voice. Because more guitar is more fun, and also Hammond, with a Leslie. Because we could. It doesn’t mean we should, but what do we care? We only wanna be your dogs, there is nothing divine in either one of us.

My Love, Live rehearsal in studio recording.
Recorded in October 2021. Except the organ and tambourin, this is the recording from the same rehearsal we recorded the Stooges cover. The song My Love was first recorded and released on the first album, Boneyard Boogie. On this recent occasion we had the good fortune of having (the sister of Jeanette Antal who sang on Boneyard Boogie) Anita Antal with us on flute and song. This added a whole new dimension to the music that you can also hear on the live in studio recording of Long Way Home. The three songs My Love, Long Way Home and Diagnosis was also recorded on video and for your visual enjoyment we put them up on our Youtube channel along with the single releases.
