REDIMONI – On the Brink of Existence

This outfit offers relentlessly aggressive thrash metal from the Spanish underground, and these veterans have been spewing forth their vile brand of raw and pounding music for 21 years now under the ReDimoni moniker.
"On the Brink of Existence" is a 5-track EP and it is not even remotely original-sounding if that is what you are wondering, but it is definitely entertaining and quite enjoyable to listen to. They are good at varying the pace throughout and there is a certain confidence present here that indicates that they know exactly what they are doing and what they wish to achieve with these five neck-snapping compositions. The frantic and harsh vocals complement the bludgeoning riffs superbly while the blistering solos add a chaotic element to the proceedings, and in the overall perspective, this is a musically cohesive, well-written piece of work. Although the album cover and artwork in general look absolutely horrendous, the actual music is thankfully much more appealing than the visual aspects of the EP, so fear not, my friends.
Fans of ancient Kreator and Destruction as well as acts such as Toxic Holocaust, Dekapitator, and early Usurper may well find this one interesting. Despite the fact that it is neither outstanding nor mind-blowingly brilliant, it is a solid, energetic, and fiercely aggressive slab of metal that contains its fair share of effective hooks and simply gets the job done in an efficient manner.
