BEYOND DESCRIPTION – The Robotized World
Active for almost 30 years, Beyond Description hail from Japan – signing with Punishment 18 Records for the release of this latest album "The Robotized World". Expect 12 songs of crossover thrash, all of which contain one word titles and whirl by in a tidy 26 minutes and change time frame. Waste not, want not- right?
Their take no prisoners attitude infiltrates the riffing and tempos throughout, along with a spitfire vocal delivery and gang supplementation for the background parts – making "Target" and "Saucer" pummeling. Conversely, the pinging snare tone (not quite "St. Anger", but along those lines) plus accented warbling at some of the English driven content (think a less distinct Kreator) diminishes the power as the record rolls on. S.O.D., Municipal Waste, and others who traverse that punk/thrash/hardcore spectrum will dig most of what Beyond Description is going for. Entertaining, you just need to be in the right mood for this.
