VOODOO HIGHWAY – Pervert County
An Italian hard rock band, Voodoo Highway embody a lot of that classic spirit that put bands like Aerosmith, Deep Purple, and Led Zeppelin on the map. "Pervert County" is their latest 3 song EP, a 10- minute blast of adrenaline through bluesy-driven riffing, solid 4/4 grooves and the killer vocal range of Federico Di Marco.
Three winners, although I’m partial to the spacey vibe and cherry harmonies as well as bass/drum interplay during "Grace of the Lord" if pushed to type out a favorite. Don’t know if the band was named after the Badlands album of the same name, but the vibe of that late 80’s/early 90’s American hard rock band is there – and we could use more bands of that ilk for sure. In a just world, Voodoo Highway would be packing out stadiums – "Pervert County" whets anticipation for the follow up release.
