ELEVENTH HOUR – Memory of a Lifetime Journey
Featuring the multi-tasking producer-songwriter-keyboardist-vocalist extraordinaire Alessandro Del Vecchio (only handling the singing here), Eleventh Hour is a quintet who perform a melodic form of power/progressive metal on their debut album "Memory of a Lifetime Journey". Straddling the lines of acts like Symphony X and Dream Theater with speedier, more symphonic aspects that remind me of older Stratovarius or Sonata Arctica, the guitar play has more of a melodic texture that glides easily with Alessandro’s expert range and care in choosing the right melodies.
Check out "Jerusalem", the tender piano-oriented ballad "Sleeping In My Dreams", and addictive mid-tempo power anthem "After All We’ve Been Missing" as proof that Eleventh Hour deliver power/progressive metal with a little bit of an AOR sheen – musically and vocally keeping the hooks on high alert. Do not forget the talent that lies in Italy – Eleventh Hour will be a newcomer to watch for certain.
