FOUNDRY – Foundry

A Las Vegas outfit that includes Baton Rouge vocalist Kelly Keeling, Foundry develop an addictive, melodic hard rock sound for their self-titled debut album. The guitar tone from James Fucci crosses over alternative/ grunge lines, especially on darker numbers like "Rolling Stoned" and "Shake" a la Alice in Chains. These 10 songs are ready made for live clubs and theaters, Kelly using his exemplary bluesy swagger and multi-octave capacity to hammer home the melodies within winning cuts "Mind Radio" plus "Television" (the latter having a touch of "Immigrant Song" nuances through the background vocal hook).
Those who love late 80’s Guns ‘n’ Roses with a touch of Alice in Chains and Stone Temple Pilots will easily devour Foundry. Curious to see how this quartet progresses to the next record, as their talent and songwriting chops should elevate them quickly to must see status.
