RECKLESS LOVE – Spirit

Hair metal, glam metal – melodies on high, keyboards on equal footing with the guitars, and this polish production value – welcome to the world of Finnish band Reckless Love. Their third album "Spirit" has a lot of Sunset Strip at heart, and a feel of Poison, Bon Jovi, and Warrant come to mind the most when taking in copious amounts of the playful up-tempo "Bad Lovin", "Favorite Flavor", and bluesy, swanky "Dying to Live". A welcome difference maker on the album is the pulsating "Metal Ass" – a speedier affair that shows the band can also play heavier with conviction, a future fist pumping arrangement that should go over like gangbusters live.
Nothing super new to this genre, but "Spirit" should be in the collection of everyone who has 80’s glam hard rock/ metal in their veins.
