BEHEMOTH – Abyssus Abyssum Invocat

BEHEMOTH – Abyssus Abyssum Invocat

Woohoo, a new Behemoth CD. Buuuuhuu, it’s a re-release of two earlier EP’s. My mood changed quickly since I first got the info about this double digipack. I initially thought it was a whole new Behemoth CD. Well, not really, since I did not have any info that there was a new CD in the making. Nevertheless, the heart rate was slightly higher than usual, until I discovered that this was, as said, a re-release of two earlier EP’s; admittedly, in new packaging and with 2 additional bonus tracks. Yeah yeah, regardless it was ordered and is now nicely placed in my Behemoth collection.

It looks very nice; it is an elaborate double digipack.

The digipack contains the following: on disc 1, we find the U.S. version of "Conjuration" EP, which means that there are 10 songs and not 7, as it was on the European version. In addition, a live bonus track, "As above So Below". On disc 2 is the "Slave Shall Serve" EP + a live bonus track, "Lam".

Many people wonder just why this double digipack was released. The answer is simple. The record company will try to make money. And they do, on collectors like me. In addition, there may be some others who use the opportunity to get both "Conjuration" and "As above So Below" into their collection, if they did not have them already.
