SPLIT HEAVEN – Street Law
Mexican traditional metal going for the throat with 80’s riffs and speed on their third full length effort. Tracks like “Time Warrior” and “Servants Of The Night” wield spider web guitar lines and high pitched singing and screaming just like the early Helloween and Iron Miaden eras. Vocalist Eli Valenzuela can get a little shriek happy which could smash eardrums (“Lonewolf” comes to mind), yet the pronounced bass thump from Carlo Hernandez makes up for this minor irritation.
Don the denim, leather, and back patches – unfurl your banners and cast “Street Law” into your bins if you live and die by the 1981-1986 classic metal period.
