CROSSWRECKER – Black Flame Divination
"From the ashes of Sacrificial Dagger spawns a new black manifestation Crosswrecker. A thrashing hell metal act that is ready to crush your pitiful minds". Now that the guys have introduced themselves, lets move on to "Black Flame Divination", which is this English/Finish band’s first EP, containing 6 tracks in the vein of bands like Venom and Darkthrone.
Image is off course very important when it comes to playing this kind of music, and Crosswrecker has everything in place in that area, from appearance to clothes and names. (Kaosbringer, Vrath, Pervertor and Revernant, you can’t go wrong with names like that). The cover and layout of the EP is also just like it should be, dark and diabolic, written in a font that makes it difficult to read, but no one cares anyway, we all know its evil stuff.
So far so good. And for all I know, the black chaotic thrash metal with the worst production you can imagine served here might be just what some of you out there want more than anything in the world. This kind of music is a typical example of "love it" or "hate it", with me caught in the middle. I love the dedication and commitment, but I prefer my black metal symphonic, epic and well produced, so true metal or not, thanks guys, but no thanks.
