SIRENIA – The Enigma Of Life

Guitarist Morten Veland has spent most of his 2000’s establishing his new gothic metal act Sirenia, making a natural progression forward from his Tristania past. "The Enigma Of Life" continues his fusion of siren female vocals, symphonic nods with classical accents and basic arrangements aligning with gothic rhythms and hooks. Songs like “The Twilight In Your Eyes” and “Coming Down” are adequate and yet don’t stir the embers of excitement like Lacuna Coil or Tristania.
