ANCESTRAL LEGACY – Nightmare Diaries

A heavier Lacuna Coil before it went pop “metal”. A lot of melody and very catchy gothic metal with some death/black influences, mostly female vocals, accompanied by black metal rasps. Lots of variety within 1 song structure, always a plus. Good musicianship and songwriting. Reminds me of a more modern “Gothic” from Paradise Lost. Nothing groundbreaking but enjoyable.
