Bassplayer Paul Brewis gives this comment to the BlITZKRIEG Wacken show 2007 and also playing in the presstent for the media:
"Our wacken experience can only be described as fantastic. The organisation, crew and especially the crowd was just awesome. We feel humbled and priviliged to be able to open the greatest metal show on earth. Seeing 70000 people really enjoying themselves was a sight to stay with us forever. Not only that but we were lucky enough to play twice! Playing for the press was really cool and especially getting them bouncing to "tortured souls". Overall we had a fantastic time in Wacken, and hope that the fans enjoyed it as much as we did, we feel that a lot of doors are opening for us now. Now might just be our time, we love what we do and hopefully you will too.
The last shout goes to the fans, from the bottom of our hearts the Krieg salutes you all"

MORTAL SIN
Mortal Sin are arguably Australia's biggest ever thrash band. In 1986 Mortal Sin self-produced and self-financed their debut album "Mayhemic Destruction" which came to the attention of Phonogram Records (UK), who snapped up the Aussie thrashers immediately on the strength of one listen at Shades record shop in London, hailing the band as the "New Metallica".
The new album is called "An Absence of Faith" and was produced by well known Australian producer Phil McKellar. The album shows the strengths of the Mortal Sin writing team with songs that will take you on a roller coaster ride and smash your head from all angles. HailMetal.com reviewed the album and said "I don't know how they did it, but "An Absence Of Faith" is arguably one of the best album returns to form I've heard in years, "United Abominations" by Megadeth being the other. At times it even owns the Megadeth album if you compare the two.The album has a number of killer thrash songs and the main highlight is second part of the classic song "Lebanon", titled "Tears of Redemption", an epic 8 minute monster delivered in true 80's thrash fashion, coming at you faster and faster as the two guitarists exchange live ammo."

After performing on the Black Stage at Wacken 2007 and a great show, the band will stagger into the Gernhart Studio to record some old SuidAkrA tracks and re-master the newer ones for a Best Of compilation. This album will be released together with a live DVD containing the Wacken 2006 show, the acoustic show at the Kielowatt Festvial 2006 and various other video clips. This fine package will be complimented graphically with artwork by Kris Verwimp, so this will surely be a must-have for every SuidAkrA fan, and fans of the future! More info soon.

TOURETTES
Tourettes is a crazy union. They say opposites attracted and that is definitely true of this band. It is also said that diversity builds strength – this is also true of Tourettes.
As the principle composer Ashley Manning is the master of musical ceremonies. His inner turmoil comes to an almost schizophrenic fore as his twin halves compete for supremacy. Part mad scientist part raconteur his muse and his apple mac are umbilically linked to his skull in a mess of cables and spent cigarettes.
Lyricist and vocalist Michele Madden takes her struggle to the people. Her pen crystallizes the angst of the disenfranchised, the ecstasy and exhilaration of teetering on the edge of greatness and the desperation of a life less traveled.
Michele Madden & Ashley Manning – both adopted out at birth have somehow found each other and despite their often brutal loathing of one another have forged a song writing partnership that beguiles and tantalizes.
The rhythm section of Ross Empson (bass) and Michael Quigley (drums) push the compositions to a fever pitch. They have played together in many groups since the very early 90s. Unhinged, dynamic, sprawling, self obsessed these two musicians are integral to the band and somehow walk the line between insanity and celebration.
Tourettes have just finished a new CD – "Treason Songs", recorded by Rob Hill at X Music Studio in Los Angeles. This new disc will be the Tourettes' second release on Armageddon Music – the CD is due out in Europe in November this year.
The band is currently based in Hamburg where they are rehearsing and traveling to festival and club dates throughout Europe.
