ICONS OF BRUTALITY

Between Glory And Despair

Karakter: 4/6

Crushing death metal from Dutch quintet Icons Of Brutality on their debut 9 song album "Between Glory and Despair". Forming in 2009 and seasoning their sound through some cover band gigs performing Dismember, Entombed, Grave, and Vader favorites, should it be surprising that those four bands (along with Bolt Thrower) form the essence of tracks like "Just Let Them Burn", "Right Leg Solution", and the title track.

Icons Of Brutality leave nothing to the imagination- hardcore to the fore, lobbing out a series of intense songs with roaring growls, low-tuned speed picking and blast beats a plenty. Doesn't matter that its 2013 to them- this could have come out in 1993 and probably place a shock and awe disposition to your life. Another must have pick up for the old death brigade.
