OCTOTANKER – new single released and upcoming EP announced

Octotanker is a polish five piece band which combines stoner rock, doom metal, grunge and psychedelics. They combine the weight of low-tuned guitars with mystical lyrics, seasoned with a cosmic trip.
Octotanker’s new single, ‘Electric Sheep’, presents the band’s new, heavier sound. The track references the work of Philip K. Dick and carries biblical connotations. It raises the question of whether we are something more than just a brief, accidental flash of light amidst a chaotic nothingness. Weight, grit, and emptiness.
‘Electric Sheep’ is the first single from the upcoming five-track EP “Servants”, set to be released in January 2027 via Electric Witch Mountain Recordings.

This time, Octotanker moves away from the poetics of their 2025 debut album “Voidhopper” in favor of biblical references. The material’s concept revolves around Psalm 23 – “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want” – bringing it down to a human level and questioning modern man’s capacity for rebellion. The material was recorded in August 2026 at Electric Witch Mountain Studio under the direction of Kamil Ziółkowski, with mixing and mastering handled by Haldor Grunberg. The album will be released on CD, accompanied by an original comic book.
Octotanker’s debut album “Voidhopper”, released in November 2025, gathered reviews in Polish and international media, such as The Obelisk, Doomed Nation, Twisted Pulse Reviews UK, Stereo Life, RockMetal.pl, SztukMix, Wrota Krypty, and Portal Winylowy, with articles and interviews featured in outlets including Knock-Out Zine, Metal Nation, Metal En Tu Idioma, and Suprema Aristocracia. Singles promoting the release received airplay on radio stations in Poland (including Antyradio, Radio 357, Radio Kraków Kultura, Radio LUZ, Radio ProRock, Radio Kampus) and abroad (including Rock Radio UK, Insane Realm Radio, El Gordo Metalero, Metal Crash Radio)
Octotanker consists of musicians who performed for years under the name PRĄD. During that period, they released two full-length albums (“Lot”, “Octotanker”), the EP “Prąd”, and a split release with AveCaesar, while also performing at SLOT Art Festival, Gruzilla Festival, and sharing stages with bands such as Somali Yacht Club and The Cosmic Dead.
