AGUSA – announces new album and releases first single

AGUSA ANNOUNCES NEW SINGLE AND LIVE ALBUM

Agusa has shown themselves as a formidable live band, which is why this is already the bands 4th live album. “Panacea” documents a powerful show, that was recorded at the Progressive Circus Festival in Malmö on the 28th of September 2024. The album consists of only three songs, but they are all live favourites, with good reason.

“Panacea” will be released on May 22^nd and the band has this to say about it:
Panacea is a universal remedy for all ills and difficulties. It is a cure-all for everything that is wrong in the world. A healing force and an alchemical concept. The goddess of health and spirit and the philosopher’s stone. Recorded live in concert, Panacea brings sound vibrations for your mind and soul. Let the music heal all wounds and soothe our worried minds. Amen to that brothers and sisters!

Agusa has this to say about it:
Ur askan (Out of the ashes) is a universal prayer, a plea for forgiveness. Ultimately there is hope. A hope that is growing, overcoming and becoming what was always meant to be.

Since their formation in 2013, Swedish progressive rock band Agusa has carved out a distinct name for themselves in the world of retro prog, Scandinavian folk rock and Krautrock. Their evocative sound and immersive compositions made such an impact that Karisma Records is now proud to present a new live album from the band.

Agusa is a band whose roots lie deep within the fertile ambients of space rock, kraut rock and jazz, and who draw their influences from Nordic and Latin American folk music. When you listen to Agusa’s music, you get a sense of being transported back to the 70s, but this time the decade has a whole new slant, because this is a group of musicians who interpret things in their own way and have come together to forge a strong musical identity that is unmistakably Agusa.

Blending tripped-out psychedelic and progressive rock structures aimed at instilling visions of nature and the cosmos, Agusa’s sound ranges effortlessly from majestic beauty to violent outbursts. Dreamlike passages meander into realms that hint at a supernatural or parallel existence.
