BLACK STONE CHERRY – Celebrate

BLACK STONE CHERRY – Celebrate

RELEASE YEAR: 2026
BAND URL: https://www.blackstonecherry.com/

Kentucky rockers Black Stone Cherry have released some impressive albums and EPs in the past, and on top of that of all that, they are also a killer live act and know perfectly well how to work the stage and the audience. Their upcoming offering titled Celebrate is nothing short of brilliant and a cause for…well, celebration.

Containing seven riveting compositions including a wicked rendition of Simple Minds’ infectious “Don’t You (Forget About Me),” this particular EP may well be one of the finest entries in their discography yet in terms of musical quality and dynamics, unadulterated passion and groove, uplifting lyrics and subtle melancholy, and some of the best and most effective hooks ever spawned by the group for good measure. There is a spontaneous and intuitive feel to the material that works like a hard-rocking charm, and rarely have their songs possessed as much raw emotion and atmosphere as they do here. “Deep,” “What You’re Made Of,” and the title track are arguably the best of the bunch and grip the heart strings, and the EP as a whole almost works like a soothing balm even though it rocks like a motherfucker too and delivers some of Black Stone Cherry’s most fierce and punchy passages to date, but that takes us right back to that wonderful keyword “dynamics,” which is something that the captivating Celebrate is overflowing with. Leave it to these guys to weave influences from Southern rock, aggressive hard rock, blues rock, and a solid dose of grunge together so effortlessly.

Superb stuff and absolutely essential regardless of whether you are fan of the band already or a newcomer.
