IRON SAVIOR – Titancraft

German power metal has maintained a level of consistent appeal – especially when artists establish early on their credibility and creativity for the genre at hand. Vocalist/ guitarist Piet Sielck certainly needs no introduction, producer / engineer for mighty work in the past like Gamma Ray and Blind Guardian, plus his own work in Iron Savior – of which "Titancraft" is the 9th studio platter.
A mixture of speedy affairs like "Strike Down the Tyranny" and "Titancraft" as well as the mid-tempo crushers "Way of the Blade" and the Western-themed "Gunsmoke" (complete with horse neighing, gunshots, and the way cool ‘man’ ending) are four of many potent tracks to return to again and again. Those who love Priest, Gamma Ray, and sci-fi will find "Titancraft" another enjoyable aural space ride of metal. Hard to beat the debut self-titled album or "Unification" as far as their discography, but there’s something to be said for giving the listeners what they desire- and Iron Savior deliver in that regard.
