The fourth album from Irish throwback hard rock act The Answer contains all their hallmark hooks and bluesy riffs that have made them a perennial favorite out of this burgeoning ‘retro’ movement. Direct jamming led to productive songwriting, and out of the 10 songs I can safely say "Leave With Nothin’" , the Black Crowes-ish "Somebody Else" and low tuned thumper "Concrete" should be future set staples. Vocalist Cormac Neeson has an interesting tone to his voice, conjuring up Robert Plant’s phrase techniques and occasional high shrieks with the confidence of Dan McCafferty of Nazareth and Paul Rodgers during his Free days.
Plug this in, crank it up to ten and give in to the grooves- "New Horizon" takes you away from all your troubles and will leave you smiling every time.
