MUSHROOM CLOUD – In Mad Minute

Developing their sound for 5 years while recording 2 demos, Danish modern thrash band Mushroom Cloud incorporate a bevy of American and European influences on this debut album "In Mad Minute". Sometimes the clean guitar play from DmitriyMukhamedov reverberates with current In Flames while the heads down aggression comes from more of a Megadeth or Children of Bodom spirit. The vocals from Morten Thoft Langerhuus has that American metal-core element: one part talkative, another part scream roar- check out both elements in "Broken Record" and the catchy follow up "Follow the Blind".
10 tracks and 43 minutes that will appease those who lock into power groove and hooks aplenty. "In Mad Minute" to these ears is too familiar and not distinctive enough to rave about quite yet- in a world flooded with metal acts, Mushroom Cloud need to stretch beyond conventional thinking to establish their own sound.
